Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

Bryan shares he enjoys working at Cuyahoga DD because it offers flexibility, growth, and development, while allowing him to build meaningful relationships with the people he works with and supports. "Most importantly, our work is driven by purpose through Cuyahoga DD’s mission, values, and commitment to helping others to support their needs. Each day brings new challenges that require problem-solving, creativity, and innovation," he said. When he is not working, Bryan enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, and snowboarding. A GLA motivates and teaches others by sharing their successes, dreams, and challenges, helping people with developmental disabilities feel included in the community. A GLA should be comfortable speaking to different people in the community, both one-on-one and in groups.
